I'm Vrindavan Favors, born and raised in London. Coming from a mixed-race Indian-African-European family with a multicultural heritage and a passion for global travel, I have been privileged to connect with all kinds of people from around the world. My speciality is to assist in the healing journey of people from ethnic minorities and spiritual communities. Having lived in America and Europe for many years has given me the necessary insight to resonate with people of European heritage as well. I have dedicated myself to serving others, from fundraising for the homeless to volunteering as a Grief & Bereavement Counsellor. My natural desire to help people is rooted in the Vedic teachings of gratitude and compassion which have been kindled by my cherished mentors and teachers.
I hold a Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling. With years of experience in private practice, I've supported clients through various challenges, including grief, relationship issues, crisis, trauma, depression, anxiety, and sexual abuse. My therapeutic approach integrates humanistic principles, emphasising a Person-Centered Approach.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy – an effective, evidence-based tool for lasting emotional relief – that can help process and heal from trauma, PTSD, and distressing experiences.
I am certified in somatic therapy, a neuroscience-informed approach that helps release trauma stored in the body by regulating the autonomic nervous system. By addressing physical sensations and nervous system dysregulation, somatic therapy promotes natural healing and restores emotional balance.
Furthermore, I am in advanced training in a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy UKCP-registered course and a member of UKATA and EATA abiding by their ethical codes. I am in regular personal therapy and supervision as part of my training. Additionally, I am fully insured.
In today's digital age, I am a certified online counsellor. I offer online counselling sessions, providing convenience and accessibility, regardless of your location, without compromising the quality of care. Our journey together begins with a complimentary 20-minute consultation, allowing us to customise our approach to your specific needs. Sessions are booked in a minimum of twelve-session blocks priced at £50/€60/$65 per 50 minutes. For those requiring long-term support, individual arrangements can be made to ensure your continued growth and healing.

When a marriage or relationship unravels, the emotional toll can be intense – confusion, heartbreak, and disconnection often replace closeness. In these painful moments, therapy offers more than a safe space – it offers a way forward. As a trained couples therapist, I help partners navigate breakdowns with clarity, compassion, and proven tools. Whether you’re working to rebuild or separate respectfully, we uncover stuck patterns, restore communication, and support healing. Seeking help isn't a sign of failure –it’s a brave step toward clarity, growth, and emotional well-being.
Somatic therapy is a body-based approach that helps regulate the nervous system and release trauma stored in the body. It’s especially effective for panic attacks and depression, where the body often holds tension, fear, or numbness – even if the mind doesn’t know why. By gently tuning into physical sensations, breath, and movement, somatic therapy helps restore a sense of safety and calm from the inside out.
Research supports this approach: studies published in Frontiers in Psychology and The Journal of Traumatic Stress show that somatic therapies can significantly reduce symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression by calming overactive stress responses.
If talk therapy hasn’t felt like enough, somatic work offers a powerful way to heal through the body. I offer a safe, grounded space to explore this together.
Trauma is often stored in the lower parts of the brain, like the amygdala and brainstem, which control fear and survival. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) helps shift these memories into the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus, where your brain can understand the past is over – so you can finally feel more safe and in control.Backed by research and recommended by the World Health Organisation, EMDR is a powerful, gentle approach that doesn't require talking through every detail. If you're looking for real relief and a therapist to walk alongside you, I'm here to help.
Sometimes we don't know what to do with our grief and that is the point when you come to therapy. Bereavement is how we process our loss whereas grief is the term used to describe our emotions, feelings, and actions. Throughout life, we experience loss in many forms, whether it's through a separation, breakup, or divorce, or someone dear to our hearts passes away. Grief and bereavement counselling is there to help assist you with the process maybe a family member has so terminal illness. We need to find a way to express Grief to let go and move forward.
Sexual abuse means when someone has touched you a man, woman, or child without your consent. This can also involve violence in the physical form. It can be hard to use your voice and speak up. Sometimes we may not even know that we have experienced abuse or an assault. With the help and guidance in counselling sessions, we can explore together how you have been affected explore your feelings, and work together so you can feel safe and protected again.
With a lifetime immersed in the rich spiritual traditions of ancient India, I've been able to explore techniques of meditation that can help regulate emotions and achieve a state of profound calm and serenity. Integrating techniques of mindfulness, breathwork and mantra sound therapy to reset the vagus nerve – the main nerve of the parasympathetic nervous system that controls functions like digestion, heart rate and immune system – a major pathway for stress response.
